I am a freelance editor, writer and curator, based in London, UK.
I am publisher and editor-in-chief of Things&Ink, an independent tattoo magazine focusing on elevating tattoos to an artform. The magazine existed in print for three years / 12 issues, but has now evolved into an online and events brand. I manage a team of contributors, research, write and publish content for Things&Ink's blog th-ink.co.uk, and manage Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, which have become communities for like-minded creatives. I have become a spokesperson for the tattoo community, providing comment on the latest issues for Newsnight, Channel 5 News, BBC Radio London, among others. I am currently writing my first book, Tattoo Street Style, for Ebury (part of Penguin Random House).
I have curated a number of art exhibitions, including Miniature Ink and Miniature Ink II in association with Atomica Gallery in London, #tiarchive – a celebration of the end of Things&Ink as a print publication and 'Identity' an exhibition at Into You. I have guest curated for the National Maritime Museum in Cornwall and I am currently curating Strike: The Helmet Project, which includes work by Grayson Perry and the Chapman Brothers, to raise awareness for brain injury charity Headway.
I am an experienced and accurate sub-editor and have worked on the following titles: Time Out, Hello! Fashion Monthly, Star, New!, At Home, Stylist, Reign magazine for the Bentall Centre, Weight Watchers, You & Your Wedding, Mother&Baby, Top Santé, Superdrug's DARE magazine, Woman's Own, Woman and Woman's Weekly.
